Your Mother Was Right
When I was growing up, my mother used to say that breakfast was the most important meal of the day.
She said a whole lot of other stuff too that didn’t make much sense, but this saying did have a lot of truth to it.
I’m sure you heard this saying from your mother too at some stage.
Why is breakfast so important?
It’s actually in the name: ‘Break-fast’
Your first meal to break your fast after sleep.
…And it damn well be a good one if you ask me!
Breakfast is especially important if you decide to go to the gym or exercise intensely of a morning.
Having no fuel in your system is a good way to burn up your muscle tissue.
Skipping breakfast seems pretty dumb now doesn’t it?
Especially when you consider how hard it is to build muscle (and conserve it) over time.
Most people rush out the door and pay little respect to this all-important meal.
…and then wonder why they struggle to eat right the rest of the day.
But! Being the good mother’s boy that I am, I’ve come up with a solution that would make both of our old girls proud.
Even if you are in a rush, you will have no excuse now!
I’ve created a quick and easy breakfast that you can prepare in advance and consume on the run.
It’s full of flavour and it also has plenty of protein and healthy fat!
